A PIECE OF CAKE:
With our French influence Jersey has a long history of good bakeries and patisseries. Our favourite is La Baguette Chaude near the Town Hall.
FISH & CHIPS:
The best 'chippy' in St Helier is definitely Gerry's Fish Bar.
Where: 47 Great Union Road
Casa Paco, right on the old harbour in town is where to find authentic Spanish food to go.
Where: South Pier Road by La Folie Pub and Central Market.
The best Indian restaurant in town also does a great take away Cafe Spice is open 12:00 pm - 2:00pm & 6.00 pm - 12:00 am, 7 days a week. We recommend Kemma Koffa Bangla - Spicy Meat Balls in a blend of fresh chilli and onion sauce.
Where: 53 Kensington Place
ON THE BEACH:
At St Ouen's Bay close to The Watersplash, get a great bacon butty or Hawaiian Burger from The Line Up and eat it on the beach. Or, get a seafood picnic hamper from the Fresh Fish Company and go to one of the quieter bays for a seaside lunch.
PIZZA SLICE & COFFEE:
To go or standing up at the counter Delicado in the Central Market has been a popular refuelling point for locals for years.
Where: Central Market
Rosie's Tea Shop in a quiet little lane right by the market does lovely sandwiches at great prices!
Imaginative, freshly made salads and daily specials such as frittata of broccoli, cheddar and tomato jam at Flavour
Where: Opposite bus terminal
