A sheltered bay with soft, golden sand and clear water located on the south coast of the island. Recently voted the 3rd best beach in the UK by TripAdvisor users. Can get very busy in summer months.
Beach Activities - There's volleyball, trampolines and a watersports concession that does banana rides, speedboat trips around the bay and hires out kayaks etc.
Parking- There are plenty of public car parks along the length of the bay but by lunchtime they are usually full by noon in high season.
Swimming- The water slopes off gently so it's safe for kids. During summer months the beach is patrolled by life-guards.
Toilets- Public toilets along the length of the bay.
WHERE TO EAT:
Decent beach bistro style food with a relaxed atmosphere a few steps from the sand.
Next door is this beachfront restaurant popular with wealthy expats and local bankers.
Right on the bay this Pizza Express must have the best views of any in the UK.
WHERE TO STAY:
There are no cheap options on the bay. Hotel L'Horizon is right on the beachfront with indoor pool, spa, restaurant and all the facilities you would expect from a well established 4 Star hotel.
Just across the road from the bay is the St Brelade's Bay Hotel, with a lovely outdoor pool and beautiful gardens. If you can afford it, the Bay Suite has beautiful beach views.
Beau Rivage is probably the best value hotel on the bay.
